CommEnder — the diamond CE mark and wordmark

Smarter Compliance

Software for the professionals who keep high-consequence work safe. We make that work clearer, easier to verify, and harder to shortcut in the industries where the scrutiny is extreme.

THE COMPANY

Built for regulated work, not adapted to it

CommEnder builds NEXUS: one platform for the full lifecycle of high-consequence work. Work control, hazardous-energy isolation, controlled documents, quality engineering and control, corrective action, live operational status, and measurement leadership can stand behind. All of it on one governed, audit-ready record.

It is not a repurposed workflow tool. Every module was shaped by operational professionals from nuclear, defense, and manufacturing: people who have signed the records, stood the watches, and answered the assessors. And every AI capability answers to one platform law: NEXUS proposes; qualified people approve.

THE FOUNDER

Jeremy Shaffer

Founder and Owner of CommEnder LLC, and the platform's first user in every sense.

01
THE ROOMS WHERE PROCEDURE IS EVERYTHING

Jeremy spent his career inside the rooms where procedure is the difference between a normal shift and a headline. Nuclear operations, defense manufacturing, heavy industry: he was the quality professional whose signature meant the work could stand inspection. Years of surveillances, walkdowns, and turnovers taught him exactly where good programs quietly leak. Not in the intent, but in the picture people are working from.

02
THE THESIS CAME FIRST

Years before NEXUS, he wrote it down. His white paper, Quality is Changing, argued that compliance was drowning in documentation while starving for evidence. Quality has to be demonstrable, defendable, and actionable, or it is paperwork wearing confidence. The paper made the rounds. The tools to live it didn't exist.

03
THEN IT GOT PERSONAL

A longtime electrician buddy of his was nearly killed by a breaker thrown at the wrong moment. It was not a failure of care. It was a failure of the picture: the person at the panel could not see what the drawings and the records already knew. Jeremy stopped waiting for someone else to build the fix. Hazardous-energy control became the first module for a reason.

04
BUILT THE WAY HE INSPECTED

CommEnder is that answer: a platform where the drawing, the isolation, the work order, and the record finally share one truth, and where authority stays with the qualified people who carry it. He builds it the way he inspected. Nothing counts until it is evidenced, silence is never ambiguous, and false confidence is treated as the most dangerous failure mode of all.

"We are literally trying to increase the safety factor of the work people do every day."

OUR APPROACH

Technology that strengthens human judgment

Clear, unambiguous workflows

Governed sequences with the safety scaffolding built in: second checks, sign-offs, and separations of duty where programs demand them.

Evidence as a byproduct

The record writes itself as the work happens: attributed, append-only, and organized for the reviews your program answers to.

Responsible use of AI

Every suggestion becomes real only when a qualified person reviews and approves it. And every workflow runs fully with AI off.

Honest coverage, everywhere

"Checked and found nothing" is never confused with "didn't check." Coverage sits beside every result on the platform.

Secure by posture

Tenant-isolated by design, with deployment paths from commercial cloud to air-gapped. Your data's handling is a promise, not a setting.

Field-first execution

Big targets, honest sync, and mobile surfaces built for gloves and daylight, because the record is made where the work is.

ONE PLATFORM, MODULE BY MODULE

Eight modules. One governed record.

Adopt the module your program needs first. Every one of them lands on the same sign-in, the same roles, and the same evidence spine.
